Giveaway: Baby dove gently cares for your baby’s skin

Start with a gentle care routine as early as possible to nourish and protect baby’s skin

Finding a skincare routine that suits you and your baby is important to ensure healthy skin and good skincare habits. I love bath time with Keshav and its usually a long one with bath toys and singing. Caring your baby’s skin is paramount and finding the right product to take care of baby sensitive skin can get complicated.

Top tips in choosing products for your baby’s skincare routine include:

Choose gentle and hypoallergenic products. Hypoallergenic means that a product is less likely to cause an allergic reaction. It is better to opt for products that are both gentle and mild as well as hypoallergenic.

Take the time to read the label and look out for products that have been dermatologically and paediatrically tested. Baby specific products are a must have, as they have been specifically designed for delicate baby skin.

Last year Baby Dove was introduced into the South African market and I was so excited to try it and since then have become a big fan of their range.

Baby Soap. Use a rich moisture bar  because it is designed for the adapted skin care needs of an infant, and is milder and more nourishing than ordinary baby soaps. I am currently using the Top to toe Dove wash which also helps retain moisture all day long.

Baby Dove Rich Moisture Bar 75g R12.99

Baby lotion.  Baby moisturising lotion  will help to replenish moisture lost during the day and nourish your baby’s delicate skin.

Baby petroleum jelly  can be used as a barrier cream to prevent nappy rash and lock in natural moisture. Because of its resistance to moisture, petroleum jelly is a great all-round product to have on hand.

Baby Dove Moisture Rich Petroleum Jelly 100ml R17.99

Nappy cream. Like petroleum jelly, nappy cream is a barrier cream that prevents excess moisture from irritating skin that is constantly exposed to dampness.

Starting a gentle skincare routine as early as possible to nourish and protect delicate baby skin is invaluable advice. Baby Dove Nappy Cream also neutralises pH in seconds, providing comfort from the first use.

My little Aaron is 8 months old. I’m looking to change he’s current babyrange. This would be an amazing opportunity to try out the Dove baby range. And this might just be the range we decide on.
